Poster #08 | Globe | by Szymon Brodziak

This black and white photograph of Brodziak comes from the campaign for Bizuu, which was created on the Baltic Sea in 2012. The slogan of the campaign: "Free as a bird, feminine as bizuu", inspired Szymon to borrow an oval steel structure. It had to be transported 300 km to the coast. Through this symbolic cage. Brodziak created a story about freedom and female power.

Szymon repeatedly drove past a small scrapyard, where he noticed an intri- guing large, spherical object that could have been a piece of the Spire of  Poznań International Fair. He had it in his mind for a long time. Initially he wanted to buy the openwork sphere of steel to his garden, but the owner did not want to sell it. When Bizuu brand came up with the idea to create an image session for the 2015 season entitled „Free as a bird, feminine as Bizuu,” the association of the object with a cage was immediate. A er negotiations, the sphere was rented and trans- ported to the Polish coast to the then dreamy town of Gąski, where Szymon liked to go on weekend getaways. He knew a place where a tree grew on a high cli with its roots exposed in an extraordinary way. All the elements t perfectly into the story of the liberation of a bird – a woman and beautiful dresses, which perfectly matched the story of freedom.
