This image has been shot by Brodziak as a part of Calendar with Leonora Jiménez, a supermodel from Costa Rica. Szymon, inspired by a scene from Constantine movie, realised this shoot at a scrap-yard in 2013.
"There is a scene in the lm ”Constantine” directed by Francis Lawrence, in which a car drives into a man and crashes on him. It was stuck in my head for a long time and was just waiting for the opportunity to materialize a chance came with the proposal I received from Leonora Jiménez, model, Miss Asia Pacifc, who invited me to shoot a calendar with her in the lead role. Again I heard my favourite sentence ”Szymon, do whatever you want” and immediately knew that Leonora would be the perfect woman to pursue my vision of a crash-test. Leonora’s phenomenal beauty is just the beginning. What made me convinced of the right choice of the photo shoot’s theme was her courage, charisma and acting skills. In order to take the photo, I had to search at all the scrapyards in the neighbourhood and buy a properly damaged car. e rest was a search for the target set, the proper setting up of the car and the styling and emotions of the model. Around this situation, together with my team, I expanded the vision by adding new ideas to the script for the entire calendar photo shoot. As a result, more than six months of preparations were crowned with 13 photographs, which were taken on one day." - Szymon Brodziak, quote from the album "What you see is who you are"
